The setting
Our team contributed for three years to established university and community outreach environments serving children and youth through workshops, events, courses and summer camps.
The broader outreach environment received more than 43,000 youth registrations annually. This figure represents the scale of the ecosystem to which our team contributed, not the number of participants trained directly by Pixalator.

Our team designed and delivered activities in:
- Scratch programming
- Python and Jupyter Notebook
- micro:bit and JavaScript
- Arduino, circuits and C/C++
- AI literacy and prompt design
- 3D design and 3D printing
- Digital fabrication and prototyping
Program leadership
The experience extended beyond workshop delivery. It included:
- Developing differentiated lesson plans and technical activities
- Training prospective high school teachers
- Recruiting, training, mentoring and supervising approximately 40 educators annually
- Establishing and operating a dedicated 3D-printing activity room during two months of summer camps
- Troubleshooting computers, software, electronics and 3D printers during live sessions
- Supporting consistent safety, classroom management and engagement standards
Inclusive outreach
Our team also delivered programming through community initiatives intended to broaden participation in coding, engineering and digital innovation among youth from groups historically underrepresented in STEM.
What this experience brings to Pixalator’s education and training work
It provides a foundation in curriculum design, instructor preparation, technical delivery, large-program coordination and adapting complex concepts for different ages and learning styles.
Pixalator applies this experience to organization-sponsored education and training programs.
